A Great Day Was Had By All
Envision Edmonton hosted a fund raising golf tournament on Wednesday, August 10th at the Ranch Golf and
Country Club near Acheson, west of Edmonton. Participants enjoyed a day of fantastic weather, good company
amongst friends and a perfectly cooked steak dinner.
Two teams tied for first place in the Texas Scramble and bragging rights were shared by the Edmonton Flying Club
and Manulife Financial. The two companies these teams represented split a prize of a $500 advertising credit
donated by Shine 105.9 FM. In addition to that the individual players got first pick from a multitude of great prizes
thanks to many great sponsors. Every player in the tournament went home with prizes that day.
Other special prizes included a $10,000 Hole in One, which unfortunately was not won. A mountain bike was
donated for the Closest to the Pin. An electric wine fridge was donated for the Ladies Longest Drive while the Men’s
Longest Drive winner received a meat smoker unit. The winner of the Longest Putt won a digital camera.
